Assumptions
-
This Match Calculator calculates full year contributions only. This means that the Match Calculator’s recommendations may not support you in meeting your goals for a shorter period of time (e.g. less than a year).
-
The amount you defer under the DCMP may lower the potential value of matching contributions you receive under the 401(k) plan.
-
Your 401(k) contributions and the Walmart 401(k) match are based on how much compensation you have after your Pretax funds have been deferred into the DCMP.
-
If your total eligible pay is below the IRS Limits for 2025 ($350,000), you will not be eligible for the DCMP company match.
-
If you are eligible for the DCMP, you must “lock in” your Fiscal Year 2026 elections during the enrollment period from December 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024 through NetBenefits. You may not make changes to your elections after the enrollment period is over.
-
If you are a new hire that is eligible for the DCMP, you may be eligible to make off-cycle DCMP elections during your first year of service. Keep in mind this Match Calculator calculates full year contributions only.
-
You can change your 401(k) contribution rates at any time. Contact your 401(k) provider directly for more details about changing your 401(k) contribution rates.
-
The Match Calculator does not take into account contributions made under a different plan or with a former employer. Please note that the IRS limits specified apply to all contributions made in 2025. Be sure to consider this when modeling your contributions.
-
26 paychecks are assumed to be paid in a year for calculation purposes of the Match Calculator.
